Islesboro Preschool

The Islesboro Preschool is an independently run 501(c)3 non-profit organization. While we are very proud of our preschool, it is not run by the Town of Islesboro and is featured here for informational purposes only.

If you have any questions about the preschool, please visit  www.islesboropreschool.org for more information.

About the Islesboro Preschool

The Islesboro Preschool (IPS) recognizes each child as an individual with their own set of life experiences. Each child will be encouraged to explore, observe, experiment, and discover through direct, concrete interaction with the environment. Children are given activities to challenge and to increase their developmental skills. Children are accepted for where they are in all stages of development and encouraged to develop at their own rate. Character development is fostered in all areas to build caring, honest, respectful, and responsible individuals.

The Preschool Programs

The Islesboro Preschool runs programs for two age groups. The Infant and Toddler program is for children from 3 months to 2 1/2 years. The Preschool program is for children ages 2 1/2 through 5. Both programs are located in our building at 152 Main Road – next door to the town office and fire department.
